About us

Children are our focus, learning is our goal

We are a Pre-School based above the church hall,   situated in three rooms. The yellow room with its high ceilings is the room where your child's imagination can flourish, the maths and literacy area will also help to develop your child's academic knowledge. The green room with its lower ceiling and wipe clean floor is an excellent room for child to explore using their senses, with daily activities set up for the children for example painting, creative modelling or the sand and water tray. The third room is a multiuse room, not only is it the room where  parents/carers are welcomed in the mornings and at the end of the day, but it is a room we like to call the nurturer room. It is for the children who may be a little bit outspoken or a little bit shy and reserved to use to fulfil their potential as it is quieter with fewer children.

We are a very unique Pre-School situated in a prime location with close proximity to various primary schools, a vast wooded area (the common) with duck ponds, the local library, shops and markets, all of which we take regular trips to. We also have access to a large hall for those really bad weather days and have access to the church and our fantasic outside area.

We take great pride in our parent partnership, working closely with families to provide the best outcomes for your child and family alike. With our online observation system (Tapestry), weekly diaries, emails, newsletters and meet and greet register we are able to make strong bonds with families. Not only that we hold regular teddy bear picnics, where parents/carers are  invited to come along to meet their child keyworker and discuss their development.

Despite our Ofsted grade of outstanding we continue to self evaluate/reflect on our practice in our endeavour to give children the best possible start.

Large garden

We have a large gated garden at the rear of the building, where we are able to take our experiences from the inside out. A large wooden house with an upstairs and a castle where the children have the opportunity to take a look at the garden and to experience things from a another perspective.
